Some doubted the survival Jenson Button at McLaren Mercedes after leaving the GP Brawn. But the defending champion of Formula 1 that it was motivated by being a team with Lewis Hamilton.
As I reported earlier, the decision as Button chose McLaren team defended the 2010 season invites a lot of criticism from number of parties.
The former racing driver Jackie Stewart has warned that he meant Button
has entered the lion’s den. The same thing also expressed by the former Ferrari driver, Eddie Irvine is even called Button will be ‘killed’ by Hamilton.
However, the assessment side of him did not dampen the guts Button. British driver admitted that even felt a greater motivation than before.
“I will not respond to the criticism that there was no point. For me the important thing is my confidence in my abilities and I feel everyone is entitled to express his opinion,” said Button told Reuters.
“All I can say is I am very happy to work with Lewis, because this is something we must do to be competitive this year.”
“This really makes my life much easier because I am now in a position far more peaceful than people think that I will destroy my teammates. ”
“I just want to focus on doing the best job any way I can and get the best results and also get the best from the team. I
do not feel this is a negative thing. ”
In addition, Button also said that if he was still in Brawn GP, he will not feel like this spirit. Along with Hamilton’s F1 world champion status in 2008 makes this driver the 30-year hunger for achievement.
“Maybe if I was there (Brawn) would be more difficult to get the world title a second. Maybe I will not be too motivated. But moving here (McLaren) I think this is very motivating me.”
“This is something that really motivates me and something I would do
hard to achieve something with the team this year. ”
“I am motivated more than ever to have a better season this year. I feel more relaxed, much more confident in my abilities and also how to sata to work with the team,” Button close.
